For most of us, Google is our first stop, whether researching for school or for ourselves. When we search Google, what do we find? Well, websites...right? In this guided tour of Google results, you'll see that there are all different kinds of websites in your Google results, and you can use them for all different kinds of purposes.
We searched on the term "drones" in late September 2014. We've annotated the first two pages of results, to help give you a sense of the different types of sources that we found.
As you look at these results, consider the following questions:
- Which source(s) would best help you to answer this scholarly research question: How is drone use dangerous to civilians?
- Which source(s) would best help you to answer this scholarly research question: What are the arguments for and against drone use by the U.S. government?
- Within these two pages of results, are there any academic journals or peer-reviewed scholarly sources presented? These are the type that you are often asked to use in research papers.
- What is the name of the latest album by the band, The Drones
